1st Renaissance – debut compilation album from Red Dragon Records

By on January 8, 2013

7th January 2013 sees the first release of the year from indie label Red Dragon Records, which has made name for itself as a champion of new music throughout 2012. ‘1st Renaissance’ is the first in a series of compilation albums featuring tracks from unsigned artists and friends of its roster.

Red Dragon Records, just over one year old, is designed to look at the music market in a different way from the established music business, and partners with several other initiatives to give indie musicians a much larger platform via its substantial networks. Owner Tom Oswald says of the Renaissance project, that he noticed a lack of music compilations for independent musicians so decided to launch the first in an upcoming series.

An awesome 90 minutes of music has been selected by fan votes from a wide and varied group of independent artists across the globe, including The Mouth of Ghosts’ ‘When The Sun Sets’, one of BBC6 Music’s songs of 2012.
