ALESANA WINS REVOLVER’S SONG OF THE YEAR
Ambitious “Circle VII: Sins of the Lion” Named 2011 Fan Favorite

Readers of Revolver Magazine have just voted cutting edge melodic rock band’s Alesana’s song “Circle VII: Sins of the Lion” as the number one song of the year in the publication’s recent reader’s poll.
The song is from the band’s epic new album A Place Where The Sun Is Silent, an sonically adventuresome and powerful record inspired by the preeminent 14th century poem Dante’s Inferno, a dramatic accounting of one man’s decent into hell.Alesana guitarist-vocalist, Shawn Milke offered the following sentiment, “On behalf of Alesana, I would like to thank our fans for displaying their undying support in helping to make ‘Circle VII: Sins of the Lion,’ the sixth chapter of our Dante Alighieri–influenced concept record A Place Where The Sun Is Silent, the song of the year at Revolver Magazine.”  Milke continues to say, “It is an incredible honor to be recognized not only by our fans, but also by the staff at Revolver. It was already a surreal feeling to be included on a list of such talented musicians and songwriters, but to walk away crowned the winner is something for which we will be eternally grateful.”
