All Together Now Announces 9th Annual 3-Day Unofficial SXSW Showcase (March 13-15)

By on February 2, 2013

All Together Now Management announced today their 9th annual, non-profit, unofficial showcase during SXSW, happening Wednesday, March 13 through Friday, March 15 at the Bayou Lounge on 6th Street in Austin, TX. The All Together Now (ATN) Showcase is free and open to the public (no badge required) for guests ages 21+; for guests ages 18-20 there is a $5 cover. Over 45 artists will be featured from 8:30pm until 2am on Wednesday, noon until 2am on Thursday, and noon until midnight on Friday.

Now in its 9th consecutive year, ATN is the largest and longest-running independent showcase in the heart of the action on 6th Street. Run by Jennifer DaRe of ATN Management, the ATN Showcase aims to celebrate quality music while creating awareness of a partnering charity, allowing artists and attendants to give back to the community at large through music.
This year, the ATN Showcase is teaming up with the More Than Me Foundation, which focuses on getting young girls off the street and into school in one of the world’s most dangerous slums in the world in Liberia, West Africa. More Than Me works with community leaders to identify the girls who are at high risk for exploitation and poverty, and ensures that education and opportunity instead, define their lives. In past years, ATN has showcased notable artists including He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister, Allen Stone, Young The Giant, Crash Kings, The Kin, Meiko and Keaton Simons. Confirmed for this year’s showcase is Dinner and a Suit, whose new single “Too Late” has garnered them Buzzworthy status at MTV, one of Seventeen’s 17 Bands Everyone Should Be Talking About, as well as the title of a “rising tide” by Billboard. Also on the 2013 lineup is Mercury recording artist American Authors, as well as Dangerbird Records artist Royal Teeth. Both bands have singles currently climbing the Sirius Alt Nation Alt18 Countdown. Los Angeles based band The Mowgli’s are also confirmed to perform; their debut single “San Francisco” (with over 300,000 iTunes downloads) recently landed them on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and on February 21st they’ll perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
