ANNOUNCING LIFE IS GOOD RADIO
The Life is good Company is excited to announce the launch of Life is good Radio. The station can be found on the Life is good homepage (www.lifeisgood.com) and heard in Life is good company-owned retail locations. The programming on Life is good Radio will be eclectic, stemming from a variety of genres and eras and specially selected to reflect the company’s positive outlook.   Users will also be able to download tracks from the Life is good playlist directly from Amazon and iTunes.  Life is good Radio is a new way for fans to become connected to this unique lifestyle brand and its social mission.
“Our mission has always been to spread the power of optimism,” said Bert Jacobs, Chief Executive Optimist of Life is good. “Nothing does that like great music. Life is good Radio is another way for us to bring good people together.”
Life is good Radio represents a new development in the brand’s steps into the music world. In 2010, Life is good debuted a two-day music festival just outside of Boston.  The 2010 Life is good Festival brought 25,000 fans together with performances from Jason Mraz, Ben Harper, Ziggy Marley, The Laurie Berkner Band and more. The event raised over $724,000 for The Life is good Kids Foundation, helping children overcome life-threatening challenges such as violence, illness and extreme poverty.  Event organizers are currently in the planning stages for the return of The Life is good Festival in 2011.  Life is good Radio will feature special programming and exclusive live tracks recorded at Life is good Festivals as a unique vehicle to help support the artists who come together for this annual event.
Life is good was founded in 1994 by brothers Bert and John Jacobs who sold tee shirts out of a van for many years. From the beginning, The Life is good Company built its grassroots success organically with no brand advertising whatsoever, instead relying on fans to spread the brand organically through the power of word-of-mouth. The company is now a $100 million globally distributed lifestyle brand that boasts a Facebook community of over 775,000 fans and can be found on Twitter at @Lifeisgood_.
