3 Scorching Cyber PR® Guitar Heros For The First Summer Heat-Wave

Elan (Guitarist: Mauricio “El Pato” López)

Song: Stranger

After 15 years together, seven albums that have sold a cumulative 1.7 million units independently, and countless shows, the band will perform for the first time in The U.S. in 2012.

On their eighth album See Us Spin, the brother and sister led quintet continue a streak as the first Mexican group to release successful albums in English, offering plenty of gritty, graceful style in its tracks thanks to the snake charmer’s dance of Elán’s vibrant singing and deeply human lyrics, and Jan Carlo DeFan’s emotionally expressive, sonically adventurous guitar work that is reminiscent of the best sounds that came out of Jacksonville in the 70’s.

Arlen Roth

Song: Something Follow Me

Known as “The Master of the Telecaster” and “King of All Guitar Teachers,” music lovers consider Arlen Roth “the guitarist’s guitarist,” a brilliant musician, but that’s only one aspect of his remarkable 35-year career. He is a highly regarded authority concerning “all things guitar,” from writing about guitar playing, to being the inspiration behind their creation, due to his fluent mastery, and rare ability to seamlessly cross over musical genres and playing styles.

Arlen Roth’s latest project, “All Tricked Out!”, is his latest album during a very long and prolific decade in which he has had to deal with the tragedy of losing his wife Deborah and his 14-year-old daughter Gillian in a car accident.

Matt Andersen

Song: Fired Up

The best performing songwriters, the ones who sound like they really mean what they’re singing about, tend to come from areas known for hard times and hard work. Like say, Perth-Andover, a rural blue-collar village in the Canadian Maritime province of New Brunswick—the home of acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist Matt Andersen.

Matt’s newest album, Coal Mining Blues, was produced by Colin Linden (who co-wrote and plays on several tunes) and recorded at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York. Featuring the Band keyboardist Garth Hudson and Olabelle singer Amy Helm, it’s a rich vein of new songs, many addressing the trying lives of working people.
