Artist Spotlight – Seething Akira – Electronica/Hardcore/Dubstep

By on May 27, 2012

Seething Akira are a 3 piece electro, rap,Dubstep group from Portsmouth. They successfully crossover heavy dance beats with magnificent crunchy guitar riffs and BIG Dubstep bass. To compare them to Linkin Park would I think be slightly unfair, their sound is much more industrial and progressive than Chester’s group who, after Meteora, it could be said became quite stale.

A healthy dose of samples and electro glitch create a bed on which the rest of the mix lies quite comfortably. The vocals never sound strained which is something which most groups attempting this genre struggle with. Humour isn’t missed either with track ‘Always Leading Me On’ sampling Billie Piper’s ‘Because We Want To’ and giving the song less of a makeover and more of an complete overhaul.

All in all a fantastic group who are worth a quick check out. – “Music List reviews”
