Austin Psych Fest, the undisputed epicenter of post-millennial psychedelic rock, is excited to announce several releases slated for February 12th. The Reverberation Appreciation Society – the official record label of Austin Psych Fest – will release Holy Wave’s LP Evil Hits and Elephant Stone’s self-titled sophomore LP. Additionally, they will release the Austin Psych Fest 2012 DVD, featuring live footage from The Black Angels, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Thee Oh Sees and many more. Full track-listing is below. In time for these releases, The Reverberation Appreciation Society is thrilled to announce a partnership with The Orchard, who will provide distribution for these and future releases.

Austin Psych Fest will hold their sixth annual festival from April 26 – 28, 2013 at Carson Creek Ranch, a scenic 58-acre ranch on the banks of the Colorado River, just five minutes from downtown Austin, TX, and minutes from the airport. Discounted $120 weekend passes are on sale now, available until February 5th. The lineup currently includes Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Black Angels, Deerhunter and many more, and a second round of artists will be announced on February 5th, including additional headliners. An Al Lover produced mixtape featuring artists from this year’s lineup is available for streaming HERE, and full festival lineup and details HERE.

HOLY WAVE – EVIL HITS

Holy Wave’s new LP Evil Hits will be available on February 12th, with presale currently live at AustinPsychFest.com. The album will also be available on cassette via Burger Records. In support of Evil Hits, Holy Wave will head out on a string of TX dates with Psychic Ills in February, followed by a US tour with Swedish Afro-psych sensations Goat in April and May around Austin Psych Fest. Tour dates and more info are available HERE

The album compiles 5 tracks from the band’s 2011 LP Knife Hits and all 5 tracks off their 2012 EP “The Evil Has Landed.” A band of multi-instrumentalists from Austin, TX via El Paso, their sound has evolved into a unique blend of sun baked surf-psychedelia.

Check out “Albuquerque Freakout” (which soundtracks for 2012 festival concert film trailer – details below) and “Spooky Fuckin Blues.”

ELEPHANT STONE – ELEPHANT STONE

Led by bassist/sitarist Rishi Dhir (known for his work alongside such like-minded artists as The Black Angels and Brian Jonestown Massacre), Elephant Stone make their long awaited return with their self-titled LP, also out on February 12th with a presale live at AustinPsychFest.com. Burger Records will also be releasing Elephant Stone on cassette. In support of the new album, Elephant Stone is headed out on a short run of dates in Canada, followed by an appearance at SXSW and a tour down to Austin Psych Fest with The Black Angels in April. Tour dates and details are HERE.

Elephant Stone – which follows the Montreal-based band’s acclaimed 2009 debut,  The Seven Seas – is radiant with lysergic hooks and mind-bending jams, melding tripped-out rāgas with pure pop perfection.
