After serving up two already massive singles this year, Australia’s Sticky Fingers‘ sophomore album Land of Pleasure is one of the most anticipated releases of 2014.
Land of Pleasure has a bigger sound than anything we’ve heard from the band yet. From the 90’s rave beats & soaring guitar lines of “Just For You” to the post-ecstasy euphoria of “Gold Snafu”. Sticky Fingers continues to prove impossible to pigeonhole, while maintaining that instantly recognizable & authentically “sticky” sound. Swaggering bass, psychedelic soundscapes, and of course the dreamy vocals of Dylan Frost.
“We did this one right. Knuckled down together writing the songs back home. Then we had the … fun” – Dylan Frost (Vocals, Guitar)
“We came back from overseas the hottest live band we’ve been … touring the world really expanded our sound” – Seamus Coyle (Guitar)
Born in a fitting landscape, Land Of Pleasure was recorded in in the tropical paradise of Rocking Horse Studios, 20 mins inland from Byron Bay, NSW. Arriving in the studio only one day after returning home from touring Europe, the band further proved they are the hardest working band in Australia. It was here the lads lived and played in isolation until the album was complete – “We worked obsessively in that studio day and night. You couldn’t have pulled us out of there if you tried”, Paddy Cornwall (Bass, Vocals).
Sticky Fingers highly anticipated sophomore album Land of Pleasure drops August 1st worldwide, and are touring it around Australia, Europe, & the UK later this year.
“I’m only worried about making the next one now, ’cause this one is that f#cking good”, Beaker Best (drums).
