AWAKEN THE EMPIRE Releases “Rise And Fall” as Free Download; Launches Video Game

Century Media’s newest signing AWAKEN THE EMPIRE has released their lead track “Rise And Fall” as a free download for fans.  The track is available for download on the band’s Facebook page, here.  Championed by MTV’s Buzzworthy Blog, the music video for “Rise And Fall” can also be seen here: http://youtu.be/JrldTNmrqkk.  To tie in with the free download and music video, the band has also launched a video game inspired by the song, which can be played here: http://www.awakentheempire.com/riseandfall.html.  The song will be released on iTunes on April 9, giving fans a month to download the track for free before its release as a single.

 

AWAKEN THE EMPIRE is featured in the current issue of Alternative Press Magazine as one of the “100 Bands To Know in 2013.”  More details are about the issue available here.  It is on newsstands now and can also be purchased and download on iPad – including tracks from all 100 bands – here.

 

AWAKEN THE EMPIRE – Damien Lawson (vocals/guitar), Daryl Falconer (drums) and Shivan Somaratne (guitar) – is preparing for their Century Media debut for release later this year.  With influences ranging from Nirvana, The Cure and Smashing Pumpkins to A Place To Bury Strangers, Gwen Mars and Hans Zimmer, AWAKEN THE EMPIRE has created an organic and cinematic sound that is all their own, each song complete with soaring vocal melodies, addictive hooks and a passion that is audible with each note.  Additional music from the group can be heard on their YouTube page which hosts videos for a number of tracks including “The Awakening,” “Cross My Heart” and “Saviour.”
