Cisco Adler’s Bananbeat Records, the producer/singer/songwriter’s Southern California lifestyle brand (www.bananabeat.com), combining the efficiencies of a major record label with the intimacy of a boutique artist collective, has hit the new year running.
Adler’s innovative company has entered into an exclusive partnership with Cellairis, the nation’s largest cellular phone accessories company, to launch the exclusive Cellairis by Bananabeat collection, which was announced at the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
“Through our collaboration with Cellairis, we are able to bring our designs and inspirations to our fans in an alternative way,” said Adler, the company’s Owner/Brand Director. “Leveraging Cellairis’ expertise in accessories protection, we will now be able to offer our community something functional and fresh.”
Bananabeat has served as the record label for Shwayze’s first three releases, including the latest, Shwayze and Cisco’s Island in the Sun. Adler has already begun working on a solo album, having just recorded four songs with producer Jim Jonsin, and isplanning sessions with 9th Wonder, Benny Blanco, Marti Friedriksen, and Cody Dickinson from the North Mississippi All Stars. Cameos are expected from G. Love, Warren G, Mike Posner, Mod Sun, Tayyib Ali, among others.
The Snowball Run, a feature film presented by Continental Tires and Oakley, features Cisco Adler and the Pigeons, Shwayze, and Chris Young the Rapper, and will released exclusively on iTunes on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. http://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/snowballrun/id495516532.
Described as a “rock & roll Cannonball Run,” the movie follows the bands as they make stops at top winter destinations through the Northwest and compete to be the first to make it to the X Games in Aspen, Colorado. The musicians race each other from gig to gig, completing scavenger hunts while stopping at checkpoints across four states, including Park City, Utah’s renowned Sundance Film Festival, where Adler premieres his music video/mini-movie for “Songs for All the Girls.”
Cisco is also starting work on a brand-new Mod Sun EP, to be released later in the year on Bananabeat Records, with the first single, “All Night, Everynight,” featuring The Ready Set. He also produced eight tracks on the new, highly anticipated Mickey Avalon follow-up to his self-titled cult classic debut. The label is also planning on releasing a single from noted TV and action sports star Bobby Light (Rob Dyrdek), meanwhile Adler’s about to enter the studio to begin work on a Kate Voegele EP to come out later this year. Adler’s produced and written for artists such as G. Love and Mike Posner, while forming brand alliances with companies such as Oakley Eyewear, New Era, Grenade Gloves, and Seattle-based retailer and lifestyle brand Winner’s Circle.
Bananabeat is collaborating with Grenade Gloves on an exclusive hoodie and pair of gloves coming out this year. To kick off the relationship they’ve created a Bananabeat x Grenade t-shirt available as a gift with purchase online soon.
The collaboration speaks to our brand platform of mixing music, action sports, and culture together to define our lifestyle movement,” said Adler.
Shwayze and Cisco will join the 311 Caribbean Cruise which sets sail May 10th until May 14th, and goes from Miami to Half Moon Cay, a private island in the Bahamas, for a series of concerts from bands including 311, The Dirty Heads, Ballyhoo!, 2 Skinnee J’s, Shootyz Groove and Outlaw Nation, among others.
