BAR SCHOOL 101: Your Demise affiliated “beer punks” headed for Ghostfest 2013

By on June 19, 2013

‘Twas but a few weeks ago that revered UK hardcore/ punk crew YOUR DEMISE announced that they were for the chop, revealing that they would be closing up shop on their many years of hardy road-life in early 2014.

The quintet are set to announce their European and UK farewell tour dates on Monday June 24th, but in the meantime the band’s elusive yet brassy side project BAR SCHOOL 101 has been added to the Impericon Stage at Ghostfest 2013.

Bar School 101, which is comprised of “vocalist” Ozzy Porkchop, guitarists Ed McRae and Jimmy Sampson, bassist Stuart Paice and drummer James Tailby, who have as yet only performed live in Canada and Japan, have unleashed their furious, lager fuelled EP “SCHOOL OF HARD DRINKZ” for free download in anticipation of the performance. This can be downloaded HERE.

Speaking ahead of the band’s debut appearance on home soil, vocalist Ozzy Porkchop had this to say: “At both of our previous shows I’ve knocked out my front tooth. My dentist hopes that Leeds will make a hat-trick!”

The question on the lips of the Internet is, will Ghostfest tentpoles Your Demise hijack the Bar School 101 set? Who knows. Either way, Whiskey Beers (the band’s signature cocktail) at the ready for what will prove a ridiculous performance in every respect…

BAR SCHOOL 101 play the Impericon Stage at Ghostfest @ Leeds University, Sunday June 30th.
