Biowire – Into The Fold EP – Loomis & Jones Recordings

By on May 5, 2012

Biowire’s debut EP on Loomis & Jones Recordings is a melting pot of Electronic, IDM goodness. Inspired by the likes of Boards of Canada, Plaid, Photek and Nightmares on Wax, ‘Into The Fold EP’ is a timeless cross-over of styles encompassing IDM, chilled, breaks and Future Jazz.
Biowire, AKA Jason Crosse, started making music in the mid nineties, inspired by the yet-to-be-coined ‘IDM’ music genre of the time. After being introduced to the inspirational artists The Sleeping Flies / Jivaro, he flew out to Sweden to collaborate with them on the successful ‘Happiness’ track, under the collective name Babalu.
Taking that inspirational flow, and having previously dabbled in Drum and Bass in the past, he then produced ‘Karizma’, which was quickly snapped up and released by LTJ Bukem’s Legendary Good Looking Records. Whilst DJing for the Persistent Deviants collective he wrote and produced ‘Disparation’, his debut album which, alongside numerous other releases, was released by the European Electronic Watusi Boogaloo label.
