The dream-pop project, Bonhom, will be releasing their new song and music video for “Live For Now” on December 18th. “Live for Now” is the first single off the forthcoming Top of the World EP, set to be released in early 2013. The release will also contain a remix by Dubstep duo, Neutron – made up of Hollywood producers, Laze & Roya responsible for some of the hottest songs by Tyga, The Game, Chris Brown, Ke$ha and more.
“Live For Now” was produced by Bonhom, a new pop project co-created by two musical masterminds: singer-songwriter/producer,James Coleman and DJ/producer/songwriter, Diwon. Together, they produce their own unique brand of epic dreamlike pop. With the message of living in the moment, “Live For Now” is just the tune to blast as you’re getting ready for the New Year.
With over fifteen years in the music business, most notably with Maverick Records and Warner Brothers, Coleman has toured and performed internationally and co-wrote with renowned artists such as, Aaron Kamin (The Calling), Jess Cates (Nick Lachey & the Backstreet Boys), and Stacy Jones (American Hi-Fi). For Coleman, music is a universal language that enables him to empathize with people from all walks of life. He lays his skillful songwriting and singing over Diwon’s production, which has been described by theVillage Voice as “adventurous and banging” and URB as “juicy for the ears.” Diwon’s inventive sounds have gained him recognition byMTV, who recently featured his single “The Takeover.”
With the release of their “Live For Now” song and music video, Bonhom defines the style of Dream-Pop. From the danceable beat to the dreamy vocals, it combines a classic pop sound infused with a modern 2013-style production. The song is about living in the moment, letting go of the past, and embracing the future. The accompanying video, directed by Matthew Stubstad, interacts with everyday people as they determine their most essential values to guide their lives – like family, love, and culture – and inspires us all to do the same. These messages of meaning are sent up to the heavens in an epic cinematic flourish of your dreams. The close camera angles bring the viewer on an emotional journey to experience the present in its fullest power.
Bonhom blends pop, rock, and electronic elements to create innovative tracks ranging from their heartfelt prayer of “Sandy Be Gentle”(a musical plea for the East Coast during Hurricane Sandy) to infectious party anthems like “Animal.” With a fantastic fusion of their musical talents, Coleman and Diwon produce the songs of which dreams are made.
