Caitlin Canty delivers her fine-edged songs with a 1930s Recording King guitar and recently released her critically acclaimed new album, Reckless Skyline. She hits the road this week for a few shows with her album producer Jeffrey Foucault, followed by a run of dates in March with The Stray Birds. A list of tour dates, including initial summer festivals, can be found below with plenty more to be added.
Reckless Skyline has been getting a lot of love from NPR Music, including a feature on Here & Now and Canty was recently a World Café Next artist. Her song Get Up was also highlighted in “Heavy Rotation: 10 Tracks Public Radio Cant Stop Playing. Accolades continued from Acoustic Guitar, CMA Close Up, Wondering Sound, Bust, American Songwriter, AllMusic, Philly Inquirer and The Bluegrass Situation, to name a few.
Reckless Skyline features an all-star band on twelve songs that veer nimbly between country ballads, dark blues and sparsely arranged folk, creating a sound that harnesses the grit and spark at the heart of American music, tempered with a voice both haunting and distinct. BUST calls it, A beautifully crafted record and The Bluegrass Situation says, “This is going to be a big year for Caitlin Canty. The Vermont-raised singer-songwriter has an Appalachian grit.”

“A staggering work and arguably one of 2015s first triumphant efforts… with Candy sounding like a young Lucinda Williams. It will level you.
