Cameron The Public Premieres FREE Track “Apple Pie”

By on June 19, 2013

Cameron The Public debuts new track “Apple Pie” exclusively through The Huffington Post. The band is offering this musical treat for your senses for FREE. “Apple Pie” is just a taste of Cameron The Public’s forthcoming EP available later this year.  The new EP is the natural follow up to their 2011 independently released solo CD – produced by Scott Wiley (Bonnie Raitt, Elliot Smith, Tracey Chapman, Neon Trees).

Born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Cameron The Public (aka Cameron Rafati) is a man inspired by the need to make music. Not desire. NEED. No college classes or day job could get in the way of Cameron’s true mission in life– creating genre bending, blues funk rock infused tracks with tinges of country and vintage R&B.  Cameron The Public’s music is a must for fans of everything from the uplifting rock tinged hip-hop of Michael Franti and Spearhead to the modern blues guitar mastery of Robert Randolph. Check out Cameron The Public’s video for “Scream” to experience the versatility of this vocalist and band.

Cameron The Public’s live band, has been playing tight and critically praised shows since their meeting in Los Angeles in 2010. They are Douglas Showalter (Guitar), Bana Haffar (Bass), Peter Dyer (Keys) and Emmanuel Cervantez (Drums). Together the band has opened for a diverse group of national acts including: Fitz and the Tantrums, Imagine Dragons, Jason Derulo, Goo Goo Dolls, Sean Kingston, Vintage Trouble and The Parlotones.

Most recently, Cameron The Public partnered with Chad Hugo (The Neptunes), Randy Jackson (American Idol) and world famous boxer Manny Pacquiao to write and perform Manny’s new walkout theme song: “Face Your Destiny.”
