Cave Painting Announce “Midnight Love” EP Release, Performing At SXSW

By on February 12, 2013

Brighton based five-piece Cave Painting have announced the North

American release date for their highly anticipated Midnight Love digital

EP via Third Rock Recordings will be March 26th. The band’s previous

releases, which have earned them a dedicated following, will also be

available stateside for the first time along with some previously

unreleased tracks in anticipation of their upcoming SXSW

The Midnight Love EP is comprised of 4 tracks complete with lush
arrangements and outstanding vocals, simultaneously progressive
and pop friendly. Infectious hooks are at the forefront of each track,

while the musical composition remains ethereal yet powerful.

This is perhaps most evident in the title track, which you can

download now.

During high profile UK tour runs with the likes of Mercury Prize
winners Alt-J as well as Supergrass legend Gaz Coombes, the
band has built a reputation for their enthralling live performances.
It is the band’s ability to convert both casual listeners and concertgoers

into dedicated fans that caught the ear of Third Rock Recordings, the

label founded by Keith Wozencroft, who is best known for being the

man responsible for signing Radiohead to Parlophone and building

a roster there that included Sigur Ros, Gorillaz, Coldplay

and LCD Soundsystem.

Be sure to check out the band’s beautiful cover of Frank Ocean’s “Swim Good.”

Straying from the template of the done-to-death guitar-rock revival and

alleviating some of the electronica pains; there’s sincere emotion muddled

in with the labyrinthine noises, making for a thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Immerse yourself.  The Line Of Best Fit

Midnight Love EP:
