Ceremony is Paul Baker and John Fedowitz from Virginia, US. One half of skywave, a band that split up into A Place To Bury Strangers and Ceremony after Oliver Ackermann (Death By Audio) had to move to New York. Safranin Sounds is the bands 3rd album on Berlin based label No Emb Blanc , and contains music that is shoegaze at it’s best. Guitar Walls collide with Drone sonics and simple synths with melodic, smooth and catchy vocals.
Ceremony’s first offering was a self titled CD-R on Safranin Sound (Screen Vinyl Image)
debut CD-R, Disappear on Safranin. This CD-R brought them into the spotlight.
Ceremony released their second LP, entitled Rocket Fire on the label Killer Pimp
an EP, Not Tonight.
The band loose all of their original masters and recordings. No Emb Blanc got the band into  a studio to fix the mostly digital sound problems of their DIY project, and re record everything, they also added unknown songs and versions, to make the double album Safranin Sounds .
