A CITY ON A LAKE ANNOUNCES JULY CD RELEASE SHOW 
FIRST SINGLE “OCEANSIDE” FEATURING XIMENA SARINANA

NEW YORK, NY – Brooklyn-based “chamber pop outfit” (-American Songwriter) A City On A Lake will debut their self-titled release on July 17th and celebrate with a performance at Rockwood Music Hall 2 on Wednesday, July 18th.
Singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Alex Wong is the primary force behind A City On A Lake, featuring vocal performances from Ari Hest and Ximena Sariňana, who is featured on the albums first single “Oceanside,” “a stunner that manages to impart complex passages with graceful simplicity, Wong and Ximena  Sariñana wrapping their voices together in a gorgeous embrace while the delicate instrumental backing delivers both heat and light with a warm incandescent glow.” – Direct Current Music     
The single is currently available as a free download on  American Songwriter.
Alex recently wrapped a tour, performing percussion with Ximena Sarinana in Costa Rica, Japan and the U.S. including both weekends of The Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival. A City On A Lake will tour this summer in support of the debut including New York (July 18th @ Rockwood Music Hall 2) and Boston (July 19th @ Club Passim). Further dates to be announced. 
  
About Alex Wong: Over the past few years, Alex has produced/written with leading artists such as Vienna Teng (Rounder/Universal), Elizabeth and the Catapult (Verve/Forecast), Melissa Ferrick (MPress Records), Delta Rae (Sire/Warner Bros Records) and Ari Hest (Downtown/Mercer Street). His compositions have been featured in film and television projects such as “The Last Song”(Disney/Touchstone), “One Tree Hill” (WB), and “The Lincoln Lawyer” (Lions Gate). He’s performed as one half of the duo The Paper Raincoat with singer/songwriter Amber Rubarth. And he’s scored the innovative theatrical work titled Everyman For Himself for which he won an LA Weekly Theater Award (Best Original Music).
