‘Through Lianas’

REL. DATE: March 4th 2013 / LABEL: Korora Records / WEB:

San Diego based experimental pop duo, The Glass Canoe, consists of David Korrigan and Max O’Reilly. As writers, they focus heavily on melody, harmony, and atmosphere, creating a swirling mass of indie / electronic goodness.

Chimera (2009-2011):
In 2009, Korrigan and O’Reilly began recording Chimera at David’s home studio in Encinitas. They both spent a little over a year reworking songs and experimenting with equipment, producing a handful of tracks. After the completion of the original track list, Chimera was set to release in May of 2010.

Postponed Release/Second Track List:
Although mostly completed, Chimera was delayed from its original release date. The two were dissatisfied with their first effort, wanting to improve and reshape the album into how they had envisioned it. After a few months of revisions and newly written songs, the second recording process began in July 2010, and was completed in August 2010. Chimera was then finalized over the next 6 months at Golden Track Studios in Escondido, CA. It was released March 1, 2011.
