“Normally, I write positive lyrics, but when Joe brought me the music it was spooky,” Hagar tells Rolling Stone. “So, I just wrote about what I saw around me in the present and tied it into the four elements: earth, air, fire and water in what we call a solar year, or a 2,000 year cycle.”

CHICKENFOOT released “Chickenfoot III” late last year to much critical praise. “It’s hard to hate big-boned butt rock from guys clearly making it because they still love the form,” said  ROLLING STONE.
BILLBOARD said, “It’s a rare case of a group that’s equal to – or perhaps even greater than – the sum of its parts…this is an album that really wins hearts with its granite thump’n’roll.” USA TODAY went as far to say that “Chickenfoot III” could be “the beginning of a riff-driven renaissance.”
In addition to a GRAMMY Nomination for “Best Recording Package,”Chickenfoot III” saw two top five singles on the Classic Rock charts with “Big Foot” and “Different Devil.”
