Close Up On The Quiet Ones Releases First Single “Imaginary Houses” off Forthcoming ‘Land Ho’

By on January 16, 2013

Greenville, North Carolina’s Close Up On The Quiet Ones returns with their first single from their forthcoming sophomore release entitled Land Ho. The single, “Imaginary Houses,” has been released on YouTube and showcases the band’s blend of Taking Back Sunday, Go Radio, Bayside, and Pierce The Veil. Land Ho was recorded by John Harrell at The Soundbarn in Kinston, North Carolina and guitarist Brandon Washington had this to say about the process, “Everything went really smoothly and we always come away having learned new things every time we record. It was a great time. John was awesome and we’re really happy with how it all came out.” Land Ho is the follow-up to last year’s debut Did You Think If You Were Quiet, We Wouldn’t See You?

The band has also recently released an EP teaser on YouTube and Brandon went on to comment on the new release by saying, “Land Ho is a very natural progression from the last release. We took some big steps in some directions we hinted at a little bit on the debut and we think it came out just how we wanted. It’s aggressive, passionate, and just Close Up On The Quiet Ones with a new bite.” He went on to comment about what the future holds for the band, “We think 2013 will be a big year for us. We’ve got plans of touring in the summer supporting the new release. We’ll be playing wherever, whenever possible. We’ve got no plans of slowing down anytime soon.” More details on the EP will be released in the coming weeks.
