Cosmic Suckerpunch, the independent Los Angeles rock band who have set fire to the Hollywood concert circuit with their spine tingling guitar licks and satirical lyrics have revealed the official music video for single “COSMIC” exclusively through The Huffington Post. To celebrate all to come for 2013, the band is offering the colossal single “Cosmic” for free download and the rest of the debut record Good Morning for streaming via Soundcloud. LISTEN HERE! Good Morning came out hot off the heels of the band’s memorable opening performance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Fest (industry’s hottest acts including Muse, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Phish, Ellie Goulding, Christina Perri and The Roots also played).
After recent headlining gigs in San Francisco & Los Angeles, Cosmic Suckerpunch will go on a southwest tour in the states. The tour will be a co-headline with San Francisco’s The Sam Chase and will be sponsored by San Franpsycho, a Bay Area based clothing company, who will be traveling with the tour in their mobile truck. The tour reaches all the way to Austin, TX for SXSW and will culminate with a free “EP release show” in Los Angeles at Harvard and Stone.
Cosmic Suckerpunch was created in 2009 and is made up of band members Ari Welkom (guitar / lead vocals), Fabien Hameline (guitar), Sebastian Hameline (bassist) and Adam Timmerman (drums). The band made their NATIONAL debut last year at Bonnaroo performing alongside some of today’s hottest acts including Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bon Iver, Phish, Skrillex, The Beach Boys and more.Examiner.com called Cosmic Suckerpunch one of the top ten discoveries at the festival stating that, “Cosmic Suckerpunch is an anachronism, a swaggering mix of Mick Jagger and Marc Bolan over a dirty guitar riff that would do any ’70s glam sleaze band proud. But they bring a modern sensibility to the mix that makes their retro sound into something new and original.”
