About Curses:

Forming from the remains of strong local favorites War Torn Angel in 2014, Curses have strived to make an even greater name for themselves. In support of the recent name and lineup change, the band re-released Depth/Distance, an EP released originally in 2013, and saw success from its lead single “Dead Hands”, which was featured on Bryan Stars’ YouTube channel, and second single “Calloused” featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills. Curses returned to the studio in June of 2014 to record their first full-length album. They returned to producer Taylor Larson, who produced Depth/Distance, with additional vocal production by Spencer Sotelo of Periphery.

Vocalists Eli Fry and Brandon Casto, along with guitarist Davey Nicewander, bassist Michael Olivares, and drummer Shane Cyrus, developed a sound that resulted in a heavier, catchier, more matured release that showcases the band’s individual strengths and stands as a testament to the serious new direction the members have been pushing for as a whole. Riding the success of Depth/Distance, the band was then selected to play the Ernie Ball Stage on the Charlotte, NC date of Vans Warped Tour 2014.

In August, Curses played as support on the Music Over Matter Tour under It Lies Within (Luxor Records). Sponsored by Music Over Matter Clothing, the tour was initially announced on Alternative Press’s website and was later featured on BlankTV. Following the tour, the band decided to permanently add guitarist Tyler Meadows, rounding out a lineup that is ambitious and fully prepared to tour extensively in support of their upcoming release. In October, Curses also announced a December tour with Nevada Rose (Tragic Hero Records).

About Vanity Strikes:

Vanity Strikes was formed in the beginning of 2009 by guitarist Kevin Murphy. With a unique, hard hitting sound, electric live performance and killer guitar work, Vanity Strikes is hard to ignore. The debut album from the band, entitled Hope for the Broken, was released in July of 2012. Their latest EP was written by the four members and was produced and recorded by 20 year old guitarist Kevin Murphy at Oblivion Studios. It has a sound that can compete with top of the line producers and studios and an energy that can’t be ignored. With a vast knowledge of music, a degree in business, and unrelenting work ethic, Vanity Strikes has what it takes to succeed in today’s music industry.
