DANKO JONES ANNOUNCE CANADIAN TOUR DATES LATEST ALBUM ROCK AND ROLL IS BLACK AND BLUE DROPS OCTOBER 9

By on September 14, 2012

DANKO JONES have just announced Canadian tour dates in support of their latest album Rock and Roll is Black and Blue.  The album will be released in Canada on October 9, 2012.
To celebrate the new album, Danko Jones has devised an über-cool promo for fans.  Special Limited Edition Digipaks will feature a bonus track, two stickers, and a black Dunlop guitar pick.  Ten copies, however, will feature a Gold-printed guitar pick. Those lucky enough to find one will be granted free entry to any Danko Jones headline show around the world, and will also receive a special gift package as a bonus. The picks were spread out among pressing plants, so the Digipaks with the winning Gold-printed picks may appear in any store worldwide. For details, visit www.rockandrollisblackandblue.com.
While we wait for Danko Jones to return and tear up home turf, check out the Official Danko Jones Podcast. The latest episode features former front man of Black Flag, Henry Rollins chatting with Danko about Joseph Stalin, photography, record shopping, John Olson & American Tapes and Thurston Moore. The episode was recorded at this year’s Wacken Open Air where both Danko and Henry were invited to speak. Check it out here: http://www.dankojones.com/home/podcast-episode-28.
Rock and Roll is Black and Blueis, hands down, the most emotional and, as a result, the most epic Danko Jones album to date, with 13 tracks that are bolder, brasher, and brawnier than anything they’ve attempted before.  The album is produced by longtime partner in crime Matt DeMatteo, and mixed by Mike Fraser, known for his work with AC/DC, Aerosmith, Franz Ferdinand and Elvis Costello.
