Danny Kalb records w Al Kooper, Roy Blemenfeld: Blues Project

Blues-rock guitar legend Danny Kalb’s upcoming release on Sojourn Records
sees Danny reuniting with former fellow Blues Project members Al Kooper
and Roy Blumenfeld; this trio is joined by Jesse Williams on bass.
Recorded at The Madhouse in Queens NY, featured songs include “Sally Go
Round The Roses,” “Make You feel My Love,” “Black Coffee,” “So Doggone
Lonesome,” “Sugar’s So Sweet” and “Leavin’ Blues.”

Al Kooper did the arranging. Sojourn Records co-founder, Mark Ambrosino is
producing, recording and mixing the record. The yet-to-be-titled album is
slate for a late August release and will be distributed by RED.

Kalb will be supporting this release with live dates.

Kalb emerged from the Greenwich Village folk revival of the 60’s that also
produced Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk and Tim Hardin among others. Starting as
an acoustic performer he eventually went electric inspired by Chicago
Blues greats like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf etc.
