David Garrett Set To Bring “Music” to North America in 2014

Global superstar-violinist, composer, screenwriter and actor, David Garrett, marks his return to North America with a series of headlining dates in early 2014 to support his recent Verve release, Music, announced today.  Presale began on Tuesday, October 15, with all dates on sale tomorrow, Friday, October 18.  Full routing below and more information on the upcoming tour and tickets can be found at www.david-garrett.com.

David Garrett is a former child prodigy who has thrilled audiences all over the world since he signed his first recording contract at the age of 13.  Garrett has worked with leading orchestras across the globe, inviting younger fans to appreciate his classical roots and thrilling old guard enthusiasts with his fresh take on standards.  Garrett is known globally for his interpretations of some of pop music’s past and present hits including Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” as well as his cover of the R&B hit “Cry Me A River.”

The current Verve disc, Music, pulls together an intoxicating mix of classic rock, classic pop and classic classical, all blended together within the violinist’s ever-expanding universe. “I try to see classical music in a new perspective,” he explains, while “on the other hand I want to integrate elements of classical music into pop, yet leave its original energy intact.”

Fans across the globe have discovered a new appreciation for traditional classical music and Garrett is set to revitalize the community stateside.
