Deer Widow to release ‘Self-Titled’ 9/17 on Save Your Generation

Save Your Generation Records is excited to announce the debut release from Flint, MI’s Deer Widow. Members of Deer Widow have been active in the Michigan music scene since the mid-90s. Past projects include: Kid Brother Collective, Empty Orchestra, Dead by Sunday, Silence the Wake, The Conqueror Worm, Downers of the World Unite, and The Most Dangerous Animal. The Self-Titled 5-song 10″ comes with 4 digital-only acoustic, bonus songs as well.

Deer Widow is a four-piece band from Flint, MI that originally started as a solo acoustic project for singer/guitarist, Chris Thibodeau. Enlisting the help of drummer, Jeff Buffmyer, and bassist, Nick Mayberry, to record a studio session with sound engineer, Marc Jacob Hudson (Saves the Day, Taking Back Sunday, The Swellers), Deer Widow began to take shape as a full band project during the rehearsal and recording process. Deciding to look for a fourth member to round out the band’s sound, Thibodeau switched from acoustic guitar to electric and added guitarist, Vince Moreno. Deer Widow headed back into the studio and finished recording their debut self-titled EP, released by Save Your Generation Records.
