NY-based multi-instrumentalist Delicate Steve (Steve Marion) has released a new video for ‘Redeemer,’ a single take from his critically acclaimed sophomore album Positive Force, out now on Luaka Bop. Directed by Marion himself and shot on Super 8, the video comprises footage of his travels through India earlier this year, including the states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Goa.

Marion explains, “A lot of the footage (all the footage of the children) was from a small village called Shiswad. I got to spend some time there because a friend of mine works for a watershed development non profit organization that is working with the village. We were basically the first people to stay over night to test out their Eco tourism project they were working on. It was surreal. Spent 4 days there, it was one of the many highlights of my trip.”

Delicate Steve just returned from his first European tour, including a sold-out London show, and performed with Sigur Rós, and Omar Rodriguez Lopez (The Mars Volta, At the Drive-In). Touring behind the album all summer, the band has shared the stage with Girl Talk, Givers, Yeasayer, tUnE-yArDs, and more. Positive Forcewas uniquely introduced, as ten bands including Yeasayer, tUnE-yArDs, Ra Ra Riot and Givers premiered a different track from the album across their social media channels. The album stream followed the band’s public installation listening event where playbutton devices housing one of Positive Force‘s ten songs were placed in ten locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan.
