“Do The Trick,” the newest single from Be The Void is being introduced via a stop motion video directed by the band’s friend James Grip. The band will embark on one final leg of their Be The Void Tour beginning November 1st with the first of two nights at Washington DC’s 9:30 Club. All tour dates below.

Be The Void combines Dr. Dog’s meticulously crafted pop with a far leaner and meaner primal sound, which perfectly captures the rough and tumble energy of their renowned live show. The Philadelphia band entered the studio with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and confidence. “It was reminiscent of when we were starting out and were these fearless weirdoes in a basement, so confident and reckless and bold,” guitarist-vocalist Scott McMicken adds. “It was really liberating.”

“The band returns to the sunburnt sprawl of its first few records. You’ve got your big, bulbous melodies, your rattly unplugged strums, your mile-long solos; in vocalists Scott McMicken and Toby Leaman, you’ve got yourself a veritable two-man harmony factory stocked with enough whisky and cigarettes to get you through the spring.” – Pitchfork
