Parisian DJ and guitarist Yndi Ferreira AKA Dream Koala dazzled New York City during a whirlwind of CMJ appearances that included sets at Brooklyn’s Cameo Gallery, trendy meatpacking venue Le Bain and the Bowery Hotel. In addition, Dream Koala aka Yndi managed to stop by East Village Radio’s Pop Goes The Future for their special CMJ episode for a quick chat about his music and his first time in NYC; Give it a listen HERE.

Such endeavors make it hard to believe that Yndi is only 19 years old and just released the first Dream Koala EP, Odyssey, on September 23rd. Last week, Vogue.com debuted the title track’s gorgeous 3D video (created and directed by Adrien Peze and Albin Merle) that transplants the viewer to an alternate reality with a breathtaking landscape inspired by Terrence Malick’s film Tree of Life.

Odyssey comes from the travels of Ulysses – his fear of never coming back home & never reaching his ambitions,” Yndi said of the EP’s title track. “It’s a track about deception and the fear of death, the fear of never accomplishing your goals.“
