Previously released on Zak’s 2011 mixtape Downtown Delinquents, “One For The Books” pays homage to late nights and early mornings with memorable hooks and choruses that make the track a contender for party anthem of the summer. Released today are two remix versions by Spadez, a fellow NYU student with Zak, and local NYC DJ Rick Wonder.
Zak Downtown’s unique spin on hip-hop fully embraces his New York roots, the city’s hustle and bustle attitude and trendsetting lifestyle. Living and breathing the work hard-play hard mentality has allowed Zak to connect with DJ’s, club owners, athletes, fashionistas, actors and music professionals over the years, expediting his road to success and giving him the opportunity to perform alongside Lupe Fiasco, Chiddy Bang, T Mills, Hoodie Allen and Dada Life among others along the way.
His deep interest in fashion and culture recently led him to partner with Reason Clothing to release a special edition line of t-shirts which can be found here: http://bit.ly/JrCKVJ.
