Three Crowns

Famined Records is sad to announce that melodic hardcore band Three Crowns have decided to split ways and pursue different projects.

Three Crowns have been a part of the Famined family for almost two years. We grew together and watched the relationship develop into something spectacular. We wish them luck in their new ventures and hope they push the envelope of heavy and melodic music to new limits. They are a staple in the Canadian hardcore scene and will be sorely missed.

After acclaimed success with their full length “Commodity” released in March last year, Three Crowns have yet another EP up their sleeve before they disembark. Three Crowns will announce their last few shows in the coming days and will release their brand new EP they are recording for FREE in the near future. You can expect the EP to be the heaviest thing Three Crowns has released to date. More details about the EP will be announced in the future. The EP will be available on Famined Records bandcamp and other outlets.

Famined Records will gladly support them in any way possible and hope our fans do as well. Our friendship and teamwork can’t be measured, we will continue to advocate for their new projects when they are announced. One thing is for certain, Ontario hardcore will never be the same.

You can read a statement from the band below.

“It has been an incredible and eventful 3 years for this band. We’ve had the opportunity to travel this beautiful country and to tour with some of our best friends. We’ve played sold-out shows and shows for only 6 people, and have always had an awesome time. We’ve sent shirts and CDs across the globe (still blows our minds). We’ve been stuck in police riots, flipped a trailer, and spent an entire weekend in a broken down van at a military base in Nova Scotia… and we wouldn’t change a thing. But sadly, we are sorry to say that this project has come to an end for us.

There is no drama and no hard feelings between any of us. We are all still brothers, and with that we have decided to call it a day. This doesn’t mean this is the end of playing music for all of us, we’re sure you’ll see new projects in the future!

We would like to say thank you to everyone who participated in this dream of ours. Thank you for helping it become a reality for us. This band has far succeeded anything we would of ever expected, and that’s something we will take with us forever.

Now for some good news! We will be playing a couple finale shows, as well as releasing a new EP we’ve been working on – FOR FREE. We should be announcing the dates and details of all this in the coming weeks. We are very excited to see all of our friends, family, and everyone else one last time!

Thanks again for everything.
