FAR EAST MOVEMENT will be making a surprise appearance to perform their platinum selling hit “Rocketeer” on tonight’s episode of ABC’S The Bachelorette.  The episode will cover an exciting 1-on-1 date with the energetic and vivacious bachelorette Ashley Hebert.

Far East Movement found mainstream success after building a following in the Downtown Los Angeles club scene.  Their song, “Girls On The Dance Floor,” co-written by Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter Bruno Mars, first hit #1 in Los Angeles then spread across the country.  This success led to their record deal with CherryTree/Interscope Records and release of their debut album, Free Wired,in October 2010.  The album’s official lead single, “Like A G6,” instantly exploded on the charts, reached triple platinum status and made them the first Asian-American group with a #1 song. “Like A G6” was ASCAP’s 2010’s Top Pop Song and was nominated for 2011 Billboard Music Award’s Top Rap Song.

The second single “Rocketeer,” features Ryan Tedder of One Republic and took similar flight to platinum status atop the Billboard charts while also connecting the group with new fans of all ages.   Far East Movement recently released their third and current single, “If I Was You,” featuring Snoop Dogg who performed the song with them on the 2011 Billboard Awards.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8/7pm Central on ABC. For more information on The Bachelorette, visit http://abc.go.com/shows/the-bachelorette. To learn more aboutFAR EAST MOVEMENT visit http://www.fareastmovement.com
