Far East Movement will release their latest electro hip-hop creation, the KTown Riot EP, on October 28th. The inspiration for this project came from their Los Angeles hometown where the lyrics and overall album theme pay homage to the K-town community.

LA Weekly has partnered up with Far East Movement to premiere their mini documentary also titled Ktown Riot. Created together with Transparent Agency, this poignant piece delves into the 1992 LA Riots as experienced by the old and new K-town community. Reflecting back on the mass violence and destruction, it is awe-inspiring to see the positive growth in the booming K-town community today. The two part mini documentary features Roy Choi, OG Chino, Dumfoundead, DJ Zo, Paul Kim, Damien Yoon, Peter “Scrappy” Lee, Alan Cha, Eddie Lee, John Kim, Sonny Kang, Andy Park, David Kim, Daniel “DPD” Park, and Cheon G. Kim.

“Now it’s time for a homecoming, and the Koreatown natives know just how to do it.”
