Los Angeles based alt rock group Faulkner, was in the studio this month with producer JP Bowersock (The Strokes/Julian Casablancas) to track Faulkner’s new single “These Kids Nowadays.” Faulkner and Bowersock tracked at one of LA’s most loved and legendary studios ‘The Village’ (where Bob Dylan & The Band, Guns N’ Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers amongst other Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame artists have recorded). Mixing the song will be Mark Needham who currently mixed one of the biggest success stories at the format this year, Imagine Dragons (and is also known for his work on the debut lp from The Killers).

Says producer JP Bowersock on the Faulkner session: “Big ideas figured into the production – we were conscious of trying to create the future. This is the sound of a future I’d be happy to live in.”

Recently, Faulkner delivered a breakthrough performance at the industry leading conference The Sunset Sessions which in the past year has featured performances from Fun, Fitz And The Tantrums, Dido and Steve Earle. Faulkner’s full length debut album will be released this summer.
