LA’s Francisco The Man are excited to announce the release of their debut album, Loose Ends, on Small Plates records this September 30th. It took roughly seven years, a teenage instrumental rock band, a debut EP, additions and subtractions, a roller rink and a near death experience to arrive at Francisco The Man. Following a two-year hiatus beginning in 2008, the band relocated from Riverside to Los Angeles, CA, bringing along a new addition, guitarist Brock Woolsey. With the help of Small Plates Records, they released two 7″s, In the Corners and Tiger.

The band has shared the first single from the record, Progress, which Pitchfork noted: “There’s an organic urgency to “Progress” that’s not just welcome, but necessary” and you can hear it here and buy it here.

Loose Ends tracklist:

1.You & I

2. In The Corners

3.Big Ideas

4. Loaded

5. In My Dreams

6. It’s Not Your Fault

8. I Am Not

9. I Used to Feel Fine

10.It’s True, It’s You

Previously on Francisco The Man:

“Frontman Scotty Cantino’s cantations of notes and thoughts about other thoughts are put toward a series of developed, set sound structures meant to be enjoyed, felt and heard at the maximum volume allotted.” Impose

“[Taking Punches] reminds us of My Bloody Valentine…but they take the Loveless aesthetic and filter it through their own experience, giving it new life and fresh relevance.” – Pretty Much Amazing

“[In The Corners] reads like dynamic and catchy raucousness, and is satisfying on a whole bunch of levels…” – The Music Ninja

“[Francisco The Man] effectively mesh static, reverbed instrumentation with sun-kissed, beach rock guitar riffs to create hazy, laid back, and infectious tunes.” – Prefix

“Broken Arrows begins as innocent, pastoral indie only to erupt into an awesomely caterwauling, Doug Martsch- styled guitar assault. As misdirections go, they rarely come more jolting or effective.” – NME
