The Glorious Sons has announced a U.S. leg of “The Contender Tour” alongside extensive Canadian dates that keeps the band on the road into December.  The run begins September 13 at Chill On The Hill in Sterling Heights, MI.  This excursion marks the band’s first run of The United States as headliners, and follows a coast-to-coast tour the band appeared on with 10 Years earlier this year.  In addition to club shows scheduled, The Glorious Sons will appear at festivals that include the Louder Than Live Festival in Louisville (10/04) and Rock Allegiance in Chester, PA (10/10).  Fueled by live appearances that have left legions of fans in their wake, significant support from U.S. radio, and pure critical acclaim, the band’s rise is on the cusp of reaching a level of critical mass they now enjoy in their home country of Canada. Singer Brett Emmons shares, “In Canada we found our success with constant touring and hard work. We are going to do the same thing in the United States. We will win fans over with a dirty, bloody, sweaty rock and roll show, one show at a time. We’re excited play in front of new crowds and cover as much ground as possible in the big U.S. of A.”

Last night, the band’s composition “Heavy” was the official theme song for the WWE’s pay-per-view event “BATTLEGROUND,” staged at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO.  The headline bout featured Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE World Heavyweight Championship).   Leading in to the event, “Heavy,” which rose to #2 on the Canadian Rock Charts, was heavily integrated in to promotional programming across WWE TV and all on-line properties, reaching the ears of millions of viewers and web surfers across the followers of the WWE’s social media network.

Prior to the headline run, The Glorious Sons will appear at Waterfest in Oshkosh, WI on August 7 followed by a headline appearance at Chicago’s Schubas on the 8th.

The band burst on to the scene in 2013 winning the HTZ-FM Rocksearch then launching three consecutive hit singles on to the airwaves with “Mama,” “White Noise,” “Lightning” and “Heavy.”  The latter three of which rose to #2 on the Canadian Rock Charts.  The band was the most played new Canadian artist on rock radio in 2014, and overall only Pearl Jam received more spins at the format last year.  Earlier in 2015 the band toured the U.S. coast to coast with 10 Years and Otherwise supporting the release of “Heavy” on American Rock Radio.  The accompanying video can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HggvsHLbheQ

The band’s songs are anchored in recollections of real stories from a blue-collar perspective.  THE UNION, their latest release, is a collection of honest and heartfelt songs that touch on the themes of life, love, passion, loss and redemption.  Vocalist / lyricist Brett Emmons has a voice that is uniquely his own, indelibly recognizable with immediacy, that when backed by The Glorious Sons emits the best of timeless rock and roll.  This loud, lush and powerful ensemble is built from the union that is guitarists Jay Emmons and Andrew Young alongside the rhythm section of Adam Paquette (drums) and Chris Huot (bass).
