Just back home from an East Coast tour to be the closing headliner THIS WEEKEND at the FoCoMX festival, Denver actor/singer-songwriterJonathan Tiersten has been called “one of the most talented singer-songwriters” in Colorado and hailed by the Denver Post for “imaginative song writing, powerful vocals backed by amazing melodies,” and with his band Ten Tiers, is known as much for their stunning effect on live audiences as the songwriting craft and musicianship that go into their shows.
It’s been quite a journey from childhood cult film star (“Sleepaway Camp”) to timeless singer-songwriter, and Jonathan is digging deep into his roots on his new album, We’ll See (Edward Records), which prompted AOL to call the New York born, Jersey-bred triple threat actor-musician-producer “the kind of artist who can seamlessly move from grungy rock to folksy reflection, and does so appealingly,” and the Meriden (CT) Record-Journal to liken Jonathan to “the second coming of David Bowie,” while The Venue (New England) said the album’s overall emotion is “captivating.”
We’ll See features a special guest appearance by John Magnie of thesubdudes on the stirring hit single, “Vertigo,” and the album is set to be released April 26.
In the meantime, Jonathan is gearing up for the release of his next film, The Perfect House, whose theme song, “In the Air,” he wrote as the lead track on We’ll See.
Let me know if you’re interested in checking out the CD and whether you’d like to arrange an interview with Jonathan!
