Happy Fangs releases holiday song ‘All I Want For Christmas is Halloween’

By on December 16, 2013

Happy Fangs is a duo comprising vocalist Rebecca Gone Bad (also of My First Earthquake) and guitarist Michael Cobra (also of King Loses Crown). The pair deliver punky pop jams that bring to mind the New Wave glitz of vintage Blondie and the glam guitar rock of Suzi Quatro — with a dash of punk ‘tude thrown in for good measure.

Formed in 2012, Happy Fangs recently released their eponymous debut EP on iTunes. Recorded in separate sessions by Scott McDowell (Washed Out) and Patrick Brown (Morning Benders), the seven-track set features lyrics dealing with the bitterness of heartbreak and the concept of picking yourself up and dusting it all off. “We didn’t set out to write this first collection of songs on a theme, but the thread is clear to me now,” says Rebecca of the EP. “What is your own power and how do you use it.”

All I Want for Christmas Is Halloween’ doesn’t appear on the ‘Happy Fangs’ EP, but since today is Friday the 13th, and since Xmas is less than two weeks away, Diffuser.fm thought it would be a perfect time to premiere the track. Check it out below and head over to the official Happy Fangs Facebook page for more info on their upcoming shows.
