Rounding out yet another triumphant year, The Glitch Mob played a most celebrated set at Snow Globe Festival in Lake Tahoe, NV, blasting their particular brand of beats into the icy cold air. They are now locked up in their studio recording their sophmore album set for release in 2012. However, knowing The Mob, they simply just can’t leave their fans out in the cold without something new to groove to during these winter months.

More about The Glitch Mob:

Their groundbreaking debut album Drink the Sea continues to be one of the biggest selling electronic albums. In the summer of 2011 they dropped another groundbreaking treat, the EP We Can Make the World Stop, which was followed by a sold-out 35 city tour, including a headlining sold-out slot at Red Rocks, Lollapalooza and Sasquatch. Justin Boreta, Ed Ma, and Josh Mayer are multi-instrumentalists and on stage they use their trademark jazzmutant lemuirs along with 3 akai drum pads, keyboards, with an extra added heavy dose on the bass and groove. It’s truly an incredible live sonic experience and visually they’ve added stage production design and lights courtesy of the same duo who’s infamous for Daft Punk, Deadmau5 and NIN. The Los Angeles Times compared their music to Massive Attack and described it as “pure L.A. freeway noir.”
“Known for its live performances, which fuse electronic and live instrumentation, the group works elements of hip-hop, breakbeat and electro into their compositions.”
