Hey Geronimo Release Music Video For New Single “Dreamboat Jack”

By on December 19, 2012

Brisbane locals Hey Geronimo are celebrating summer with the release of a music video for their new single, “Dreamboat Jack,” which has been consistently lauded by critics as a high point of the band’s debut self-titled EP.   The video, featuring a 007-esque chase to rival anything in Skyfall, has reached almost 50,000 YouTube views since within the first week of its release.  To check out the video, please visit: http://bit.ly/Vid8AI.

The single follows the band’s massive viral video hits, “Why Don’t We Do Something” and “Carbon Affair,” which graced major international TV shows and blogs including MTV, Los Angeles Times, AOL Music, Paste and Teen Vogue and have amassed close to one million views on YouTube.

Hey Geronimo are a frankenstein makeup of Australian indie-pop bands, Blame Ringo, Montpelier and The Boat People. Influenced by surf rock and garage pop, they write epic songs, with mega hooks and catchy choruses. The band has taken part in major festivals include Homebake, Peat’s Ridge, Fat As Butter and Big Day Out.

Hey Geronimo’s lead singer, Pete Kilroy, directed the video, working with Joe Brumm of Studio Joho, who does a lot of work for College Humour. On the making of the “Dreamboat Jack” music video, Kilroy says, “We had one of those little GoPro cameras and thought – let’s strap this to a remote controlled car! And a boat! And a plane!! We didn’t have much more of an idea at the start and it developed from there.”
