Indie rockers Diet sign to Imminence Records, self titled EP reissue

By on March 25, 2014

New York indie rockers Diet are extremely happy to announce that they have signed with Imminence Records. The members started making music together back in 2009; however, it took a few style changes before they settled on a mix of grunge and indie rock. The owner of Imminence Records, Ryan Williford, had the following to say about the group joining the label, “I was shown Diet by friends of the label Backslashes And Bad Ideas, and I was instantly drawn to their newest single. The male vocals brought to mind my high school days when bands by the likes of The Forecast were breaking out.”

In addition to the signing announcement, Diet would like to announce the reissue of their self titled EP, which was originally released in August of last year. The reissue will make its way online on May 6th and guitarist Chris Taranto had the following to say about these announcements, “Diet is really excited to be joining Imminence Records. They have a great track record of getting things done for bands on their roster. We’re looking forward to reissuing out debut EP under them. It did fairly well for an independent release and we feel like giving it a proper release will further expand our fanbase.”
