Congratulations to the Band Perry

Congratulations to The Band Perry on the success of their ISC 2008 entry, “If I Die Young.” After 38 weeks on the Hot 100 Billboard chart, the song is now #14 on the chart and is showing the greatest sales and airplay this week. The self-titled album has been on the Top 200 chart for almost a year now, having peaked at #4. It’s always great to see an ISC entrant achieve success, and we wish them much continued success.

KIMBRA SIGNS RECORD DEAL WITH WARNER BROS. RECORDS

Warner Bros. Records has announced that it has signed international pop newcomer Kimbra to a worldwide deal. The label will soon release the 21-year-old singer and songwriter’s debut album, Vows, on Warner Bros. Records. Kimbra was the First Place winner in the 2010 ISC Pop/Top 40 category with her song “Settle Down.” Congratulations, Kimbra!

SOUTH AFRICAN BAND THE PARLOTONES TO OPEN FOR COLDPLAY

Big Concerts has announced that The Parlotones have been chosen to support Coldplay, who will be performing live for the first time ever in South Africa, on Wednesday, October 5th at Cape Town Stadium and Saturday, October 8th at the Soccer City Complex, FNB Stadium Johannesburg. The Parlotones were the 2010 First Place winner in the Rock category for their song “Life Design.”
