j.viewz debuts stunning video for “Far Too Close” + Remixes EP news

.viewz, otherwise known as Brooklyn songwriter and producer Jonathan Dagan, is thrilled to present the music video for “Far Too Close” in anticipation of the release of his Far Too Close Remixes EP, available July 2nd on iTunes. The video is an epic journey, paying special tribute to pop cinema classics like Back To The Future and Footloose, and was beautifully colored by Damien Acevedo (Justice, Katy Perry).

“Far Too Close” is taken from j.viewz breakout album rivers and homes., which through its music and associated artwork and videos has earned him nominations for a Grammy, MTV OMA, and UK MTV VMA awards. The Far Too Close Remixes EP features multiple takes on the Phil Collins esque original, including a remix from Dagan himself as well as a stunning re-interpretation from Pegboard Nerds. The “Far Too Close (Pegboard Nerds Remix)” debuted last week on Beatport.com and quickly shot to #1 on the Glitch Hop genre chart. The EP also includes a brand new j.viewz song titled “Holding a Map” the last unreleased song from the rivers and homes. sessions.

Known for his innovation when it comes to album artwork and design, for the EP artwork for Far Too Close Remixes j.viewz enlisted the help of GIF artist Matt Divito to design a one of a kind animated cover for the release.

Beyond the release of the forthcoming remixes EP, j.viewz generated considerable buzz earlier this year for his techy YouTube demonstration in which he plays Massive Attack’s “Teardrop” by employing fruits and vegetables as sample controllers. The video went viral with features on Mashable, Gizmodo, NPR, CBS News site, TIME Magazine site, BBC news, and many other sites.
