Due to the recent birth of my son, my time is limited so I am only working on projects from home and am not currently working out of  a design firm or hair salon.  I am a degreed and certified interior designer and also a licensed cosmetologist.  This allows me to a rang of different kinds of work from Residential design, Office, Restaurant, etc.  I can cut, color, condition and perm hair, and do nails (not incl. artificial).  I plan to go back to work with Ron Paul Salon as soon as my child is old enough to be under someone else’s care. I am a Degreed and licenced Interior Designer and Cosmetologist in Virginia Beach.

Lately, I am experimenting with “green hair” techniques and am looking for people interested in trying new products that are considered green or environmentally friendly.  These products tend to be more gentle on the hair, skin and the environment due to their lack of harsh chemicals.  Because of this, color done with a green product will only offer a percentage of coverage as it does little, if any, damage to the hair. 

This type of product is great for people that wish to blend their grey rather than cover it completely.  It is also for people who have allergies to traditional hair coloring or pregnant women looking for color without any potential side effects that may or may not come along with standard color.  I also like to use these products as a subtle toner, color refresher, or just to add protein back into the hair. 

Because of it’s vegetable ingredients, those who might have allergies to certain plants like Jojoba, Rosemary, or Arnica will not do well with the professional green product I use.  There are many other options out there, however, and I am interested in trying all of them.
