Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas make television debut on Late Show with David Letterman

By on November 11, 2014

Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas are thrilled to have made their late night television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman last night. Detroit’s newest exciting band performed their single “Sorry I Stole Your Man” from their critically acclaimed debut album Secret Evil. Letterman was so impressed by the performance that he raved afterward, “Wow, that’s tremendous! That’s it, no more calls! We have a winner, ladies and gentlemen, right here!”  Watch their performance here:

Rolling Stone, Nylon, Latina Magazine, USA Today, MTV and more agree with NPR’s Weekend Edition when they say “song after song, one thing is consistent: a powerful, undeniable voice.”

KEXP goes on to say “Detroit’s musical history is a long and winding one, but in Jessica Hernandez, the Motor City has a daughter who’s studied up to channel her predecessors’ tones into her own fierce, riveting sound.” The Huffington Post adds, “[Hernandez is] painting a very big picture, and her memorable voice is only one of the textured colors on a multidimensional palette.”

Idolator recently premiered the video for “Sorry I Stole Your Man,” a track Paste Magazine has saying, “It’s these tracks that have tagged Hernandez as an ascendant star.” Check it out.

The band spent all of 2014 on the road with a wide-ranging live schedule that included headline dates, festivals such as Bumbershoot and Riot Fest, and they just wrapped up a St. Paul & The Broken Bones tour last week. Jessica and The Deltas will play select shows this December and will spend most of 2015 on the road. Tour dates below.
