Oxford, UK-based quartet Jonquil has debuted the brand new video for “It’s My Part” with Consequence of Sound, a whirlwind of amateur mechanical bull riding, spinning pizzas and excellent animal masks, directed by Franklyn Banks and produced by Lucy Kellett. “It’s My Part” is the first single off their forthcoming Point of Go album, out February 21st with Dovecote Records (The Futureheads, Hooray For Earth). The full-length will see an international release with Blessing Force; a growing community of artists, musicians and writers in Oxford that involves the band’s other projects Chad Valley, Pocket House and Solid Gold Dragons.

Noted as an American Songwriter ‘Band to Watch,’ the quartet has been celebrated for its creative integration of afro and indie-pop, winning praise from RCRD LBL, Under the Radar, CMJ and WNYC among others. Jonquil also recently debuted a mixtape with NYLON, who said “this eclectic mashup has something for everyone- much like the sounds of Jonquil themselves.” Performing a number of exhilarating sets at CMJ ’11 this past fall, the band will return this side of the Atlantic in March for a nationwide spring tour with Keep Shelly in Athens and scheduled appearances at SXSW ’12!
