KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND:  2012 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
PROVES WHY THIS ICONIC GROUP CROSSES ALL
BOUNDARIES OF TIME AND MUSICAL TASTES

Mention “KC & The Sunshine Band” and you’ve summed up the vision of a music phenomena that defined the ‘70’s.  Their infectious, feel-good, happy music compelled listeners to get out of their seats and hit the dance floor—a compulsion that propelled the band to multiple triple platinum sales and #1 signature songs such as Get Down Tonight, That’s The Way (I Like It), Boogie Shoes, Rock Your Baby, I’m Your Boogie Man, Shake Your Booty, and Keep It Comin Love.
Good news for “booties” young and old as a flash-forward to Summer-Fall 2012 finds KC & The Sunshine Band ready to embark on a North American Tour that will take them from east coast to west and from the deep south to the upper reaches of Canada.  The concert schedule will include a broad mix of venues from amphitheaters to listening rooms and casinos.
Within a span of their five decades of success, KC & The Sunshine Band have been in a state of constant renewal in their niche of cultural relevancy—thanks in part to their music being featured in more than 200 motion picture soundtracks.   Legions of new fans have also been magnetized by the band being featured at virtually every major high-visibility sporting event in the world including The Super Bowl, World Series, Conference Championships, the NBA, Collegiate Bowl Games, National Championship Games, the NASCAR racing circuit, the World Cup, The Indianapolis 500, The Kentucky Derby, as well as major parades including The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Tournament of Roses Parade, Political Party Conventions, Presidential Campaigns, and as KC likes to add with a wry smile, “nearly every wedding, confirmation and bar mitzvah in the world.”
With ambitious plans for more television in the months to come, upcoming concerts set from June to November will cut a wide path for those lucky music fans wishing to catch a truly memorable evening with the music and legend of KC & The Sunshine Band.
