Khushi to release debut EP ‘Phantoms’ Mar.3 on Laissez Faire Club

By on February 3, 2014

A born and bred Londoner who spends his days caring for the blind, Khushi’s luck began to change when he quietly uploaded a few demo tracks online. He’s since supported Laura Muvla, Dan Croll and Foxes, as well as festival appearances at last years Great Escape, In The Woods and Wilderness.

Khushi will release his debut EP, ‘Phantoms’, on download and 10″ vinyl through Laissez Faire Club on March 3rd. The Londoner has also been confirmed to support London Grammar on their upcoming headline tour, following a sold out launch show late last year.

2013 saw Khushi cement a sound as idiosyncratic as his stage name (his childhood nickname): October’s ‘Magpie’ and B-side ‘Never Never’ portrayed a collection of beautifully constructed, evocative and intimately captivating melodies. Quietly momentous lead track, ‘Phantoms’ is no exception. A collaborative effort by Charlie Andrews (Alt J, Marika Hackman, Sivu), Peter Lyons and Khushi himself, ‘Phantoms’ marries his disarming honesty and yearning lyrics.

Hunger TV names Khushi as ‘a musician to keep a very close eye on,’ recognising him as one of 2014’s brightest new talents.

Tour Dates:
15/2/14 – Bournemouth, O2 Academy*
16/214 – Birmingham, O2 Academy*
17/2/14 – Bristol, O2 Academy*
6/3/14 – London, Electroworkz
