A rainy Sunday night did not drown the spirits of a near capacity crowd last night as they came out to see the Killthrax Tour featuring Killswitch Engage and Anthrax with support from Havok.

Starting the show earlier than posted, Havok kicked it off with a short seven song set of songs covering their most recent releases including “Hang ‘Em High” from ‘Conformicide’, their latest effort and “D.O.A” from ‘Time Is Up’. Energy was high as Reece and Nick bounced around the stage. For those in the crowd wanting to thrash Havok was well received.

Not to be outdone by Havok, Killswitch Engage came out and and exceeded the energy put forth by Havok and the crowd went nuts as the band started their seventeen song set with “Rose of Sharyn” from ‘The End of Heartache’ quickly followed by “Strength of the Mind” from “Incarnate’ and played songs from ‘As Daylight Dies’, ‘Killswitch Engage’ and ‘Disarm the Descent’ and completing their set with a cover of Dio’s “Holy Diver” with Joey Belladonna joining in.

Just before Anthrax took the stage they played the opening of “Among the Living” before Scott came out followed by the rest of the band as they played “Among the Living” and “Caught In a Mosh” from ‘Among the Living” before switching it up with “Got The Time” from ‘Persistence of Time’. Keeping the energy level at fever pitch, Joey, Scott, Jonathan and Frank ran around and jumped all over the stage. Playing an eleven song set including material from ‘For All Kings’ and ‘Worship Music’ they ended the show with “Indians”. For the fans who stuck around to see Anthrax, they got a show that looked more like a much younger Anthrax.
